Action Bronson's Chumbeh dinner series

I didn't even know this existed, he just posted it on his instagram one day and I just happen to be flying to NYC that week to go to my office. When I started looking at the details, I knew I had to go. I knew what an experience it would be to go so I bought the ticket right then. 

I learned that he personally curates the menus and obviously puts a lot of effort and love into the series so it was an event that couldn't be passed. This series was the "watching birds do stuff" which is a hilarious but accurate name and the menu had multiple courses that were attractive—Stuffed peppers to rotelle al forno, roasted grapes and short ribs and so on.

When I arrived, I was waiting outside on the sidewalk with everyone else before they let us in, the space is basically a small private venue where he sets up a kitchen and a large dining room that's all in the same room. The tables are set up so they are communal, two sides and very long. I knew I would be sitting with complete strangers but I didn't mind because it would be cool to meet some new folks. There was a band in the back corner that was playing some really nice music as we walked in and I was shown to my seat. The courses were brought one at a time and there was a wine pairing offered. I didn't go for the airing because it included some that I wasn't a fan of so I just simply opted for the bottle Le Vin Des Amis—A very effervescent, light and refreshing red wine. 

The dinner itself was 6 courses with starters, to dinner, to dessert. I'll explain the courses below in the photos. Meeting Action was pretty cool, we chatted about the dinner and some topics of life, he said he looked forward to seeing me at the next ones and I said I'd be there so I gotta live up to my word.
