Not your typical restaurant, it's accessible only by the back of a camel or dune buggy's, this tent was located in Erg Chebbi in the Sahara Desert in the southernmost part of Morocco on the border of Algeria. There was no formal menu and I had no idea of what would be served prior to arrival however when it was time to eat, the spread was incredible.
On a large table, there were multiple styles of rice, cubed potatoes, multiple stews and soups, chicken, cauliflower, pasta salad, bread and sliced watermelon. Lastly, there was a fresh salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers—Much like a greek horiatiki salad.
We ate at a community table and the food was all very fresh and made with real ingredients. This was a wonderful dinner experience, you should have been there.
