La Casa Del Habano — Bogotá, Colombia

This was actually the first LCDH store I've been into. They're significant because they carry a standard of having a high quality inventory, trustworthiness, and reliability. This is the major retailer of Habanos across the world and they have a limited number of stores so it only made sense to stop in while I was in Bogotá. It was a very clean space inside with incredibly friendly and helpful staff, their inventory consisted of some memorabilia items such as the branded porcelain jars respective to each brand, cutters, torches, ashtrays, travel carriers, etc. As far as the cigars go, hundreds of thousands in inventory which could mostly be contributed to boxes and boxes of Behikes and Cohiba Silo VI's. I'm not brave enough to buy a box of Behikes yet because I fear a random and very possible issue at customs upon return to the US. A $500 to $1,000 box of Habanos being confiscated? I can stomach that. But, a $5,000 box of Behikes? Fuck. I don't even want to imagine that Scenario.

Anyways, I wound up with a pretty decent haul on this first round. I bought 3 of the beautiful porcelain jars, one Cohiba, one Hoyo de Monterrey, and one H. Upmann. The Cohiba one is special because it has the same color scheme as the Siglo line and I have the matching ashtray as well. These jars are really sought after and hard to find, they're designed by Nelson Alfonso and are definitely worth getting if you come across one.

As far as cigars go, I got a box of Hoyo de Monterrey Elegantes, Hoyo de Monterrey Flor Extrafina's, and a box of H. Upmann Magnum 54's. All in all a pretty decent haul combined with the jars. I was considering some more boxes of Habanos but my luggage space was already pushed to the max so this had to do for now. It's not like I can't book a flight and go grab more at any point in time.
